Little Dragon, Big World

This little piece has a very special meaning to me. See, my son really wanted to draw a dragon, he is fascinated by them and to me the dragon, as a magestic beast with a lot of mystery to where it comes from; represents the autism boy.

The autism boy wants to fly with his own wings and fly on his own but he doesn’t know how as this little dragon in the picture is a little afraid to leap forward. He seems like he’s saying: “take my hand, guide me through the storms, help me become who I am meant to be”, which, in a lot of ways, is a lot like autism.

Love this little collaboration piece. My son drew the dragon and I provided the background and colors.
